Amber & Mia are a bonded pair of young sisters looking for their forever home together!

Amber is ~16 months old with white socks and stripes in a tan and black with a white chest; she is bonded with her loving “older” sister Mia, they are the same age, but Mia is the protector.

Mia is ~16 months old with little white socks and tortoise spots in tan, black, and white; she is bonded with her loving “little” sister Amber; she is the protector and will head-butt Amber in a loving sister way when she thinks something is unsafe moving her to “safety.”

They are still learning how to enjoy the comfort of living in a home after a little rough start in life; as time has gone on, we have been able to get closer to them, and they have started to sit on my blankets when I am reading on the couch. Mia does come up to us for pets and scratches, but it has to be on her terms; if you try to come up to where she is sitting, she will walk away. Amber will come up for pets if she sees Mia getting a pet, she has started to come up for pets by herself, but it is still infrequent as she looks to her sister for commands and comfort.

Amber loves to sun; she will roll on her back and sun herself and all her fluff. Amber is what I like to call a “Near you” cat, she does not sit in your lap, but she likes to share a room with you or the other end of the couch. She will go looking for people and have a little talk with them. She is more vocal than Mia but is not noisy; we enjoy her little chats when looking for something.

Mia is also currently a “near you” cat, but I feel with time, she would open up to some laps. She loves to move around and explore; she loves kicking toys and little plush carrot toys I have, and ball towers. Mia does get the “kitty zoomies” and runs a loop in the house, nothing has been knocked over by her, but I had half off an end table for a book.

Amber and Mia are good kitties. They need time to gain your trust and maintain stability; they may take a little time to warm up in a new environment, Mia is the first to get close to someone, and Amber then follows suit.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
