Meet Amandus (FIV+)

Amandus is an affectionate and friendly 2-year-old cat looking for his forever home!

Amandus loves cuddles and pets. He warms up to new people and environments very quickly. He doesn't play much but loves to spend as much time as he can with his human.

Amandus is a bit on the heavy side and currently prioritizes affection and food over playtime. Careful monitoring of his diet and encouragement of play will be necessary to provide him with a happy and comfortable life. Amandus has also had one of his canine teeth extracted.

Amandus is FIV+, which isn't as scary as it sounds. Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans and can live without symptoms for many years. Because FIV is spread only via deep bite wounds, a very cat-savvy adopter may have success pairing Amandus with a kitty friend as long as slow and cautious introductions are completed and a stable social environment is maintained. You can read more about FIV in cats here: tinyurl.com/58sf9wtj

Amandus currently lives with his foster parent and another human in a two-bedroom apartment. His ideal home would be a home where he's the only cat (or with a cat-savvy adopter; see above) and where he can get a lot of affection, pets, cuddles, and quality time with his human(s).

------

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.
