Meet Agate

Agate is a precious, active 6-month-old kitten named for the beautiful facets on her coat.

Agate likes to chat so be prepared to have her tell you what is going on in her life. She loves to play and be the center of attention. She's a big snuggler and her little motor is loud and adorable. If you are looking for some cuteness in your life, Agate could be your girl, but ensure you have cardboard scratchers, a cat tower, and plenty of toys for playing with because she is a very active girl. If you work outside the home, be ready for some serious playtime when you get home. Agate has a LOT of energy and needs interaction. She looks like she'll be a lap cat as she grows up as she likes to cuddle and get pets while on her foster mom's lap.

If you need a quiet cat, Agate is not a good fit as she tells her business a lot. She is VERY cute and you will fall in love with her quickly. She will be walking along and fall over and it seems like she's posing but we think she's looking for cuddles. She doesn’t like to be picked up, but will snuggle hard on her terms a lot!

Agate loves the laser light and likes chasing string toys around. She loves playing on the cat tree and batting around hanging toys. Agate is a high-energy kitten. She loves the laser light and likes chasing string tools around. She can jump high and isn't shy. She needs to have someone actively play with her to burn off her energy.

Agate is living with a foster mom and resident cat in a house. Currently loves to interact with the resident cat. Unsure about dogs but likely okay. Loves playing with middle school-age kids (that's all she's been around). She's very curious. She would likely do great with younger kids, but you will need to monitor their interaction as she does have claws and doesn’t like being picked up. She is looking for a very cat-friendly home with plenty of scratching posts. She needs parents that will give her a lot of affection and play hard with her.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
