What’s in a name?

Tags: , ,

One of the first things that comes with adopting a new pet is choosing a name, and we know how difficult that can be. Sure, the adoption organization may have already named your pet, but often owners like to choose a new name that has personal meaning to them.

Some dogs and cats earn names based on their personality or the color of their coat, while others are named based on cultural trends or even popular celebrities. Whatever you do, make sure you carefully consider the name you choose.

For example, be sure not to choose a name that sounds similar to a command.  These names could be confusing to your dog or cat.
