Kat Albrecht, a former police officer, is the founder of Missing Pet Partnership, a grassroots national nonprofit organization dedicated to reuniting lost companion animals with their families. Since 1997, Kat has worked to develop volunteer community-based lost pet recovery services and has trained professional pet detectives, volunteers, animal control officers, veterinarians, and shelter staff in the analysis of lost pet behaviors that contribute to the homeless pet crisis. Kat blogs about her creative pet detective work and is the author of two books: The Lost Pet Chronicles and Dog Detectives: Train Your Dog to Find Lost Pets.
