Give the Gift of Hope to a homeless pet

Only two months into my tenure as director of development for the Foundation, I have repeatedly witnessed the magic of being on the receiving end of one of our grants. Below is one such example:

Lucy found a home thanks in part  to a Foundation grant to Braxton County Animal Shelter.

Meet Goldie, a vivacious dog rescued from a truck stop in West Virginia. Thanks to Braxton County Animal Shelter and a grant from the Foundation, Lucy was transported to the Northeast, where she found her forever home. Renamed Lucy, she is now happy, healthy and living in Doylestown, PA, with her furry sister Hannah and her human parents, the Gales.

The Foundation has awarded more than $10 million in grants since 2010 to thousands of shelters and rescue groups —
with more than 95% of those funds going directly to helping homeless pets.

Thanks to your generosity over the years, we have the extraordinary opportunity to effect positive, permanent change in the lives of homeless pets!

It’s time to start thinking about how you want to celebrate
with your loved ones this holiday season. Why not give the gift of
saving a homeless pet through the Foundation? Your
loved ones will be ecstatic to know they’ve made a difference
because of you. Give the Gift of Hope and the recipient will receive a holiday card with an acknowledgement of your gift.

year, that gift will have even greater value. I am pleased to
announce our new Supporting Membership program.
When you donate $30 or more to the Foundation — whether
as a gift for a loved one, or from you to a homeless
pet — you or your loved one will become a supporting member for 2012 and be recognized in special ways for helping pets. (Learn more about the membership program here.)

you for all you do to help save the lives of homeless pets. We wish you
and your family — including your four-legged family members — a
healthy, happy and warm holiday season!
