Simpson Parrot African Grey Alexander, NC

Simpson is a 34 year old male Congo African grey who is ready for her next Phoenix Landing home. She loves shreddable toys and bells. She whistles short little tunes. Her adopters have done a great job of keeping her on a good diet of numerous fresh foods, our mash, Nutri-berries, and Avi-Cakes. When she tucks her head down and closes her eyes, then you know she trusts you enough for some head scratches.

Simpson has been sharing his home with 19 year old Greysunne, a male Congo African grey. They are not a bonded pair, but greys do enjoy and benefit from living with one of their own. We'd be thrilled if they could find a home together.

IMPORTANT PROCESS INFORMATION: Before we can discuss a specific bird with you, we ask that you follow our adoption process. Some birds are in foster homes that may adopt them, many other birds are waiting for our help and are not yet posted in PetFinders. The adoption coordinator in your area will work with you to find the best home for each bird, and a species and personality that works best for your family too. We want to set everyone up for success, especially our parrots.

ONLY AREAS OF OPERATION: Phoenix Landing serves only Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, and northeast Florida. We do not ship birds. However, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us for our online events. Parrots are unique and they deserve us to be informed caretakers.
