Sarge Parrot Macaw Fairfax, VA

Sarge is a female military macaw who is in her 30s. She is very smart and interactive, but is selective about who she allows to touch her. This isn't uncommon, actually, and you can still have an amazing relationship with a parrot without touching. She's an excellent candidate for someone interested in doing training with a bird, to keep this smart girl mentally stimulated and engaged! We recommend training her to step onto a portable perch to transport her around the home, and providing her with multiple places to go, things to do, and things to see. 40 years old isn't too old to learn, and if you are interested in teaching her colors, reading, or more, we suspect she'd love it!

Sarge is currently in a foster home in the Northern Virginia area.
