Tell us if your bird has any behavior issues?
None of the birds were completely hand tamed, but we were working on it. Puff nips at hands but it's just usually either when he is scared or to check your stability before perching.
Why are you needing to rehome your bird?
We unfortunately don't have the proper lifestyle or Hein for these birds. We are planning to have a baby and want to get the birds into the right home before that. We would miss them very much, but hope we can find a home for all of them together where someone else can enjoy them. We love them, but need the space and they are so happy that they make a ton of noise which is so bittersweet.
Provide us with any additional information that may help a candidate show interest in your bird.
We got them last year. Started off with Nova (blue bird) who is the sweetest and most shy. She has shown so much growth in the past year. Then we got Lemon, but while I was going to get her I saw Puff in the corner who had almost all his feathers plucked off. He was stressed and since grown all his feathers back! He has only plucked during significant changes (moving locations in the house or changing cages. So then there were 3 and of course we wanted them to have an even pair and a full flock. They have all learned the pecking order, and it has changed over time. Puff used to be super aggressive and the king of the cage but he has since mellowed out. Lemon is the sweetest and most outgoing but gentle bird. Mango is outgoing but also skittish. Mango is lemons sibling from the pet store. They have all perched on me and walked around with me while eating millet. With the proper attention and consistency they would all turn out to be the best flock ever.
