Kayla Parrot Cockatoo Warwick, RI

Kayla is a 14 year old female goffins cockatoo who has a few silly nicknames- dubbed Bunny in her previous home because, boy, can she can HOP! Kayla has also dubbed herself "Meatball" after she stole a meatball from her previous parront's plate. She will often refer to herself as such LOL

Once she warms up to you, Kayla is an amazing girl. She is friendly and social, and loves her spray baths or taking a trip to the shower with you!

Kayla is extremely intelligent, moreso than your average cockatoo. She would do great with someone who will give her endless metal stimulation, like learning colors or numbers. She would be a great candidate for Jen Cunha's "Parrot Kindergarten" classes. Do we think Kayla could learn to communicate using a comm-board on a tablet? Absolutely. The possibilities are endless with this girl!

Kayla barbers her wings and tail feathers, but we believe with proper mental and physical enrichment, this behavior could be reduced.

Kayla gets along with all types of people, kids and adults alike, but whatever you do, do NOT cuddle with her or overbond with her. Think of the movie Gremlins and what happens when you feed them after midnight!
Kayla will need an enriching environment and a family who knows how to set up relationship boundaries.
