Goffiin's Cockatoo Pair: Baby Parrot Cockatoo Pittsburgh, PA

Say hello to Baby! She is a hilarious, sweet and outgoing Goffin's Cockatoo believed to be roughly 30 years old. She and her friend Larry came to the rescue from a well loved home after their owner grew older and could no longer provide the attention and care they deserve.

Baby is active, smart, and so fun! She is a sociable and easygoing bird who loves people!

Likes: Veggies, stepping up, head scratches, and her new diet of: pellets, fresh fruits, and a small number of nuts and seeds

Loves: Cashews (unsalted, of course!), dancing, getting all of the attention

Dislikes: Flying (probably from an old injury to her wing)

Baby and Larry are a bonded pair with a twist; they must be adopted together however they prefer to live in separate, but close, cages. At their foster home, they live happily in a large 80" x 40" cage with a divider and enjoy separate out of cage time. Though their current housing is our prefered cage size, they could live in a 64"x32" divided cage. The adoption fee is $600 with the adopter providing a cage that meets at least the minimum 64"x32" requirement. Along with the cage, the birds will need a variety of perching and toys to keep them busy. Both of them really like wooden toys that they can shred.

Keep in mind that in general, cockatoos can be loud, and their vocalizations mainly occur in the morning and evening. It is normal for parrots to call out to their flock mates first thing in the morning and at the end of the day.
