We have 2 beautiful Diamond Doves: Lucy & Marilyn!

Here is what would work best in their new home:
-Personality: Gentle, Quiet, Mellow
-Lifespan: 15 year average
-Can live with kids: Diamond doves are not ideal pets for children as they do not enjoy handling.
-Experienced Bird home: Ideally yes
-Can live with other Birds: Yes, diamond doves are highly social with one another and can coexist in aviaries with other non-aggressive birds. I need to go home with Lucy or into a home with existing doves.
-Bite History: None
-Additional information: These girls came to WHS when their senior owner could no longer care for these birds appropriately. They will need a nice wide enclosure with different levels and perches as well as toys and enrichment items. Diamond doves are typically not the type of birds that enjoy handling. Get the largest enclosure you can accommodate - because your doves may never leave the cage, it’s important that you provide for as much exercise as possible. A diamond dove will need a species-specific diet supplemented with fresh greens and fruit.
