Meet Chris and Rich
Hi, our names are Chris and Rich! Here is what would work best for us in our new home:
-Personality: Chatty, social, a bit skittish
-Lifespan: 5-8 years
-Can live with kids: Yes, but they cannot be their primary caretaker.
-Experienced Bird home: Not required, but we recommend doing plenty of research before adopting! Please ask staff for any guidance you might need!
-Can live with other Birds: Yes, Parakeets are naturally flock birds. Rich and Chris are a bonded pair and are required to be adopted together!
-Bite History: No
Meet Rich and Chris - a pair of young parakeets looking for a home together. These boys are still a bit skittish, but with daily handling and care, they would be capable of picking up speech, becoming finger trained and so much more! These two boys are pretty bonded to each other and cuddle in their cage, so may take a bit longer to bond with their new owner. Chris and Rich will need a nice roomy cage with different levels and perches as well as toys, swings and cuttlebone to keep their beaks trimmed. They'll need plenty of birdseed - being careful not to leave a bowl full of empty seeds. Parakeet's favorite fruit treats include apples, pears, melon, kiwi, berries, grapes and oranges. If you would like to adopt Chris and Rich, please start by filling out an application to see if it's a good!
