Meet Canaries
We have 3 beautiful canaries: Turmeric, Curry, & Saffron!
Here's what would work best in their new homes:
-Personality: Active and vocal
-Lifespan: 10-14 years
-Can live with kids: Yes, although they cannot be the primary caregiver.
-Experienced Bird home: Not required, but some bird experience is preferred!
-Can live with other Birds: Yes, these 3 canaries can live together since they have lived together for years although typically canaries are solitary birds and prefer their own cages. They are not required to go home with each other, although they can!
-Bite History: None
-Additional information: Need a nice roomy cage with different levels and perches as well as toys, swings and cuttlebone to keep their beak trimmed. Will need plenty of birdseed - being careful not to leave a bowl full of empty seeds. These canaries unfortunately contracted scaly mites which you can see affected their legs, they have been treated for this, but it will be something you should keep an eye on as canaries are more susceptible to mites than other species of birds. Canaries are not meant to be "hands-on" birds, these guys will sing beautiful songs when happy and healthy, but do not wish to be handled.
