Bertrum Parrot Eclectus Valrico, FL

Hi there! My name is Bertrum, and I am a very handsome male Eclectus and boy do I know it! I have turned out to be an affectionate snuggle bug that just wants to spend time with whoever will have patience to get to know me.

I am settling into my foster home, getting to know the other animals in the house. I am good with dogs of all sizes, but cats are unknown. I like to be out of my cage and just want to spend time with the family but do not do well around small children, they scare me. I am a very good eater that enjoys TOPS pellets, fruit and learning to like chop. I really have character and each day reveals a little more of my vocabulary. I can be loud but usually only when I need something or am scared by something so need a single-family home, no condos or apartments.

My foster parents are taking things slow with me and giving me time to feel secure so that they can build trust with me as they feel I may be reacting due to my past and need a forever home that will take it slow to let me feel comfortable.

If you are someone that has experience with Eclectus parrots and lots of time and patience to work with me to overcome my fears, then you should meet me! I deserve to be loved and shown that I have a positive future ahead of me!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
