Bartley Parrot Pionus Alexander, NC

Bartley is a 17 year old male blue headed pionus. He came to us along with a younger girlfriend, but their relationship seems a big agnostic and divorce worthy, so we are willing to separate them (not something we do lightly!).

Bartley is playful and interactive. He loves to fly and be a busy body with what ever you are up to! So his next home must include safe flight options. Bartley loves his Landing mash in the mornings along with other diverse veggies and fruits. Blackberries are his favorite. He is very food motivated, which is a plus if you are willing to learn training concepts, which we encourage everyone to do!

Bartley also has a some vocabulary and mimics things very quickly. He says "Good bird," "Good boy," "I love you," and much more!

IMPORTANT PROCESS INFORMATION: Before we can discuss a specific bird with you, we ask that you follow our adoption process. Some birds are in foster homes that may adopt them, many other birds are waiting for our help and are not yet posted in PetFinders. The adoption coordinator in your area will work with you to find the best home for each bird, and a species and personality that works best for your family too. We want to set everyone up for success, especially our parrots.

ONLY AREAS OF OPERATION: Phoenix Landing serves only Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, and northeast Florida. We do not ship birds. However, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us for our online events. Parrots are unique and they deserve us to be informed caretakers.
