Django Unchained - A Petfinder Happy Tail

Adopted Dog

Adopted from Ruff Start Rescue & Training, Berthoud, CO.

Django, his mom and the rest of his litter were living as strays in Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Strays are usually gathered and killed there because nobody has time or money to take of them. Oglala Pet Project got a hold of them before they were found by somebody who would have killed them. They made it out here to Colorado and Ruff Start Rescue and Training took them in. Their mom, Skye, had a bad eye infection and Ruff Start payed for her vet care. She is doing much better now.

On April 26th, I adopted my boy Django (formerly called Badger at Ruff Start) and the rest of his litter found their forever homes too. Their mom has also found her forever home, which is so great to hear.

Django and my older black lab Baxter are the best of friends. He was 8 weeks old when we brought him home, and he is five months old now. I have no idea where the time has gone!! I could not be happier with my boy and I cannot wait to see what is in store for his future!
