I got Winston first. I was on vacation from work, camping. While I was camping a couple found a lost dog in the woods. I fell in love with the dog and told the couple if the dog wasn't in a home, Id take it. Good news, the owners found their baby that weekend! (This saddened me because I wanted the baby, but I was happy for it to be home with its owner.) I got home and started looking on Petfinder for my new pet. I was looking at several dogs, then a picture of Winston popped up. I knew he was meant to be for me. I had that feeling in my gut. I called the lady who had Winston. DRAMA! Winston was already being taken by another couple from the area. I was devastated. That was my first day back to work. The next day, I get a call from the lady ( while at work ) about Winston being still available. I quit my job and walked out to drive four hours to meet him (not knowing if I was going to be able to take him home.) I just had to do this. Yes, insane. I quit a job to go look at Winston. Winston has been with me for three years now (and I have a job I like much more) :-) ThenI got Reba Westie. She was thrown from a car window over in Illinois. I heard the news and immediately had to go get her to bring her home. She was unhealthy looking and matted, and the vet must have pulled 90 ticks off her. Both Winston and Reba are my fur kids. I love my babies!
