Delilah - A Petfinder Happy Tail

Adopted Dog

Adopted from Pike County Dog Pound, Waverly, OH.

Delilah was found wandering in a state forest by forestry technicians and had almost reached the end of her time at the pound. When I saw that she was marked as "URGENT", I knew that I had to call right away. Her picture was the spitting image of the Great Dane mix I rescued 1 1/2 years ago and he was found wandering in the same county that Delilah was dumped. I was lucky enough to spot both of my dogs on and make the drive from Michigan to Ohio to adopt them. Even our vet agrees that the dogs are likely littermates, given their almost identical unique looks and coat color! Delilah has transformed from a terrified, underweight dog, to a happy, cuddly girl that loves to play with her enthusiastic brother and is making great strides in overcoming her fears. I couldn't be happier that I saw Delilah's picture before her time ran out and that Petfinder is a platform that allowed me to find Delilah and give her a second chance at life.
