My husband and I adopted a beautiful Lynx Point Siamese from the Humane Society three years ago. We decided it was time that she had a little friend, so I checked Petfinder for Siamese, a breed we both love. I still don't know how I managed to stray from the search results of Siamese cats, but suddenly there was a photo of an amazingly sweet little face on my screen. She was not in the least like a Siamese, but something about her photos and her story spoke to me. She had been found with a broken leg in a local state park and, after surgery arranged by the SPCA, needed a forever home where she could recuperate.
Within minutes of meeting this precious girl, we knew she was coming home with us. My husband named her "Junipurrr," for our favorite month, June, and because she purrs with joy the moment you touch her.
The gracious adoption coordinator at the SPCA said Junipurr is lucky to have found a good home. But I believe WE are the lucky ones.
