A few months ago, we lost our beloved shepherd/chow mix dog Hollie. She was 13 years old and was a very sweet girl.
A few weeks ago, Becky, a high school classmate of mine and who is a volunteer at the Corona Shelter, posted a video of a beautiful seven-year-old male German Shepherd. She pleaded in asking if someone could adopt him, his time was up.
I took one look at him and told my husband Gary that he was ours and we needed to go get him. Gary agreed. The next day, I ran to the shelter on my lunch and adopted him.
We named him Kyser. He has made himself at home with us and our other male shepherd Roger . This past weekend, we took him and Roger to Mammoth for a bonding weekend.
We found out that there was a lot we and Roger had to teach him, like how to walk on the leash, hike, swim in the lake, jump into the back seat of the truck and play in the snow. He took it all in stride and excelled in learning his new skills.
After looking at his previous picture in the shelter and him running in the snow, it's obvious he is a very happy boy and has adapted to our family. We are very blessed to have him.
