I had recently purchased a house and was living by myself for the first time as an adult. I was looking for a companion and a dog big enough to make someone think twice about messing with me or the house. I'd been looking online and saw there were a number of puppies available for adoption at the Cumberland Animal Control. I went in, not expecting to take one home. I was looking for the right dog to fit into my life, not the one with the cutest face. Luckily I found Sam and he fit both qualifications. I left the shelter that night with him in my arms.
He's the sweetest dog and loves to snuggle. He is very friendly and has won the heart of all my friends and family. I've had him for just over a year and I've still yet to encounter any person, dog, or cat that he doesn't want to play with.
It wasn't all smooth sailing, but giving him a home is not something I will ever regret doing.
