Ever since my therapy dog, Moose, my 13-year-old Chihuahua, passed away last October, I found it very hard to go about my everyday duties without him by my side. It was not until my dad passed away that I found myself lost and alone, or so it felt like anyway, especially when suffering from depression. Life can sometimes become quite the struggle without a companion, even though you have plenty of family around you. Anyway, I searched all of the animal shelters here in Montana for a few months and then a couple of weeks ago there she was!! Heather is a tri-color Chihuahua, 1-1/2 yrs. old and such a wonderful little love. Now that she has been home for a week she has really started to come out of her shell. Before we go to sleep at night, she and I play with her squeaky bone toy until she finally tires out and then curls up next to me and crashes:) She sits with me in my recliner every night when I get home from work and follows me if I get up and move around. When I first met her, I was told it would take a little while for her to warm up to me...Not true, she warmed right up to me and then I was told that she did not like men....Well, she proved that all together wrong as well as she just loves loves loves my husband. Heather also loves playing with my Lynx Point cat, Tank. They romp and play like they have always known each other and it is just awesome and so fun to watch too. I hope everyone finds their forever friend and gives them their forever home like I did:) She brightens my days and night and I am so blessed to have her and my family. Heather is my baby and she is spoiled rotten.:)
