Chloe - A Petfinder Happy Tail

From Kaili of Kalamazoo, MI
I adopted my first rescue pet, a kitten, from Kalamazoo Animal Rescue in October 2011. My previous cat had passed away a few months prior to Feline Leukemia, and I was devastated and needed a new best friend. I found "Ginny Weasley" on Kalamazoo Animal Rescue's website and fell in love! I took her home a few days later, changed her name to Tiana, and she has been my best friend ever since! I LOVE her, she's such a perfect kitty :) It was actually because I love Tiana so much that I decided to adopt another rescue pet :) Not only was I worried about Tiana being lonely when I went to work, but I also knew there was a special puppy out there who needed to be loved and appreciated just as much as Tiana :)
I began my search on Petfinder and eventually came across the most adorable little rat terrier mix puppy being fostered by New Rattitude. I fell in love and knew that I HAD to have her, so I filled out the adoption application right away. Unfortunately, I was told that they had decided to go with another family for her instead.
I continued my puppy search and despite how adorable many of the dogs were, none of them really captured my heart in the same way that this rattie pup had, and as Tiana had also done before. This actually turned out to be a good thing though, because a month later I received an email saying that things didn't work out for the puppy and they wanted to know if I was still interested! Of COURSE I was!
I brought my new puppy home in July and despite having initial fears and worries about housebreaking, my little Chloe (formerly known as Camden) has been the perfect little puppy! She gets along pretty well with Tiana as well which is great!
I'm so happy I found my puppy, and so thankful to Petfinder and the folks at New Rattitude for helping to bring her to me!
