From Donna of Citrus Heights, CA

I lost my beloved Mini in November 2004 and was instantly desperate for another companion. Mini had been my first dog, a senior Llasa Apso adopted at age 16 from the Sacramento, CA SPCA. I searched for months, hoping to find a Llasa Apso suitable for adoption. In February 2005, I found just that: Patches, a special-needs Llasa. He became a part of my life nearly five and a half years ago; he had his eyes surgically removed prior to the adoption, is now hard of hearing and somewhat arthritic. Yet he still climbs the stairs to my bedroom each night, navigates my neighborhood for his nightly one-mile walk, and rules the roost! True to his breed, he is confident, self-possessed, and stubborn...he is my little guy!!!
