From Valerie of SOUTH BEND, IN

Teddy arrived at South Bend Animal Care and Control (SBACC) on 1-25-07. He had been abused and was found with a long, deep cut across his throat. SBACC rushed him to the vet where he had 13 staples put in place to close the wound. Needing time to heal, PetsConnect*, a local adoption partner, volunteered to accept Teddy into their program.

After spending weeks recovering, Teddy was adopted. However, he was soon returned when his family decided they didn’t have time for him. In a new foster home (mine)**, Teddy went back on the market. Sadly, once again, Teddy was adopted and then returned in less than 12 hours when his new family realized the time commitment needed. That was when Teddy found his forever home right here with me!

Teddy is now a loved and cherished member of our family. My Husband and I are so thankful for all the people at SBACC and PetsConnect that saved this little guy. Hooray for Teddy!
