The City of Wylie is pleased to welcome Dr. William Wood DVM, North Texas Mobile Veterinary Clinic, as he provides our LOW COST VACCINATION CLINIC held the first Friday of each month. The next clinic will be Friday, April 16, 2010 at our shelter. Clinic hours 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Yearly rabies vaccination costs only $12. Yearly combo (rabies and 6 in 1) are $38 for puppies and dogs, $28 for kittens and cats. Other low cost well care (deworming, heartworm test, and heartworm/flea prevention) available at substantial savings. Protect your pet, protect your family!
City of Wylie Animal Services is teaming up with Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project to provide citizens with our first ever low-cost pet sterilization program for the City of Wylie.
YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THIS SERVICE
There will be two shuttle service dates available each month.
•Animals will be picked up by shuttle service at City of Wylie Animal Control at 6:30 am.
•Animals will be returned by shuttle service same day at approximately 5:30 pm.
Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project has a new 5,400 sq ft. state of the art clinic that is set up to perform over 17,000 surgeries per year. This clinic is staffed with experienced skilled surgeons and veterinary technicians. They have two temperature controlled transport vehicles which will accommodate up to 60 animals of various sizes.

Who We Are
We are the City of Wylie Animal Control, a division of the Wylie Police Department. We serve the citizens of Wylie, Texas. Adoptions are open to residents of any area.
If you have lost your pet, PLEASE COME IN PERSON to the shelter. Pets are not listed on the web until they have been held several days, waiting for their owners.
Adopting a friend
Adoption fee is $75 for dogs, cats, puppies or kittens not sterilized and $25 for sterilized. Rabies vaccination and sterilization (spay/neuter) are required by law. The time limits for these procedures are explained at the time of adoption. Residents of Wylie are required to buy a city license for their new pet.

The shelter is on Hensley, just off Sanden Rd. Sanden connects Hwy 78 and 544 at the west end of Wylie. From Garland / Sachse, Hwy 78 (north and east) JUST past the Wylie city limit. Sanden is your first left. Left on Sanden, and immediately left on Hensley Lane. From Plano, 14th Street becomes Hwy 544. 544 east, past Wylie High School, next right is Sanden Road (at Sanden Industries), Right on Sanden, about 1/2 mile to Helsley, Right on Hensley Lane. We are open Monday thru Saturday 8 to 4:30 for adoptions. We are closed daily from 12:00-1:30. We are closed on Sundays.
