Cat Adoption Days
ADOPTION DAYS: Adopt and save a life! We are currently looking for new off-site adoption locations. Schools, senior centers, corporate responsibility drives, special events, social gatherings, houses of worship or pet stores etc. - if you invite us we will come! We are flexible and will work with you to creat a win-win situation for everyone involved!
Pet of the Month - Mikey
Our big, lovable boy is friendly and comfortable with older kids and adults. He loves to look you in the eyes, and it's easy to see that he wants to find a better home than the small "studio apt" that he's lived in for the last 2 years. His easy-going personality will make you feel like you've been friends forever! Please come and meet him. His New Year's resolution is to get a new home! .
PLEASE HELP OUR SHELTER! We are severely overcrowded, and hope that our focus on adoptions will continue to be successful. Our animals just need the chance to show-off their stuff! We are also looking for caring and compassionate people willing to provide loving foster or forever homes for our senior and special needs dogs and cats. The stress and noise of shelter living can be overwhelming for animals. DONATIONS: We
are always grateful for donations of dog, cat and kitten canned foods, leashes, treats, collars, cat litter, chew toys, dog and cat crates, and outdoor kennels. All donations are tax deductible, and you will be helping to improve the quality of life for homeless dogs and cats. Thank you!
The Westchester Shore Humane Society,Inc. was founded in 1929 and Adopting
a friend We urge people in the community to open their hearts and homes to
our loving dogs and cats, and help relieve the burden of
overcrowding in the shelter. If you are interested in adoption, you
can visit the shelter and see our animals in person, or you may
wish to view a list of some of our adoptable pets. Our list of dogs and cats for adoption is updated regularly, so please check back frequently... The Westchester Shore Humane Society is
located at 7 Harrison Avenue in Harrison, NY. It can be reached
by the Hutchinson River Parkway: take Harrison exit 25, and follow Route 127 South (Rt. 127 is Harrison Ave). The
shelter is on your left, approximately 1 mile past the Harrison
commuter rail station. It can also be reached via Boston Post
Road: take Boston Post Road until it intersects with Harrison
Avenue/Rt. 127 North. The shelter will be on your right,
approximately 1 mile down.

Please note there is a tax break if you are donating. ADOPTIONS: Adoption hours are 11:00AM - 3:30PM daily. For all other services call 914-835-3332. Who We Are
TO ALL ANIMAL LOVERS:
We are asking for your help. We are asking you to PLEASE DONATE TO OUR SHELTER FUND. We are a NO-KILL SHELTER and ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
The humane society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
PLEASE help our pets in need that are housed at our shelter.
Its an ongoing mission, in addition to our role as an animal shelter, is to provide an effective means for prevention of cruelty to animals, to enforce all laws which are now or may hereafter be enacted for the protection of animals, and to secure, by lawful means, the arrest and conviction of any person violating such laws.
On average, the humane society will receive and respond to almost 2,000 calls yearly, regarding animals. The society is a strong advocate for mandatory spaying/neutering of dogs and cats.
