COME SEE THE DOGS ON SATURDAY, 2/13/10, BETWEEN 1 AND 3 P.M. We hope to be once again on a regular Saturday schedule FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR..

DOGS ADOPTED OUT THIS WEEKEND INCLUDED AMETHYST, RHOEDALITE, SMOKEY QUARTZ, SMOKEY BEAR, AND BAILEY WICKHAM On the 13th we will still have with us all the several sweet little gems from the puppy mills that we can bring.Three new Bichons and an Aussie/Yorkie mix have arrived but only Jean-Luc is ready to be shown. Their photos and write ups will be posted soon, so keep checking.
PLEASE STOP EMAILING ABOUT THE PUPPY MILL DOGS, 200 EMAILS A DAY ARE MORE THAN OUR MEAGER OFFICE STAFF CAN HANDLE. JUST COME TO PET VALU AND SEE THEM, THEY ARE ALL CUTE, ALL SWEET, AND ALL WHO CAN TRAVEL WILL BE THERE TO BE SEEN, AND THEY ARE ALL PRETTY MUCH ALIKE IN BEHAVIOR AND DISPOSITION. NONE IS HOUSETRAINED, THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO BE DOGS, THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO WAG THEIR TAILS.
Email us the names of those NON-PUPPY MILL DOGS you would like to meet, hopefully by Friday or before, so that we can plan to bring them too.

If you need directions get them from www.mapquest.com , or use your GPS if you are fortunate to have one.Prospective adopters should hopefully live within the radius of a couple of hours drive from Princeton, NJ, to make home visits easier for us, but we’re not strict about the distance if we think the match is a good one between the dog and a new family. If you want to see a particular dog it is always best to request that this dog comes with us on Saturday, by emailing us at ewilsonj@ix.netcom.com. Your email is automatically caught in a spam filter, but don't panic, it is seen and we let it through. Don't try to call thinking your email didn't go through, just check your spelling, especially the small 'j' after ewilson.

Our adoptable dogs are shown with the help of volunteers from other rescue groups. We show dogs usually each weekend in Hillsborough FROM 1 TO 3 P.M.. The next showing will be on SATURDAY, FEB 13.
THE RESPONSE FOR THE PUPPY MILL MOMS HAS BEEN TREMENDOUS, AND FOR THAT WE ARE THANKFUL. MOST WILL HAVE HOMES AS SOON AS THEY ARE READY TO GO. PLEASE DON'T EMAIL FOR "MORE INFO", WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING MORE THAN IS ON THEIR WRITE UPS. ESPECIALLY DON'T ASK IF THEY ARE HOUSE TRAINED, THEY'RE NOT, THEY LIVED IN CHICKEN WIRE CRATES OUT IN ALL WEATHER, WHATEVER IT WAS, (SO WE HAVE BEEN TOLD). THEY NEED ANOTHER SMALL DOG IN THE HOME TO HELP THEM LEARN HOW TO BE DOGS, EVEN JUST TO WAG THEIR TAILS. THESE ARE ALL SMALL DOGS (poodles, bichons, Yorkies, shih tzus, etc.) BECOMING AVAILABLE BECAUSE OF PENNSYLVANIA'S NEW STANDARDS FOR PUPPY MILLS, THAT IS RESULTING IN MANY OF THE BREEDERS CLOSING AND DUMPING DOGS...IF THEY ARE NOT TAKEN INTO RESCUE, THEY MAY BE SOLD FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH OR SOLD TO BREEDERS IN OTHER STATES. BUT, AS A CONSEQUENCE, RESCUE GROUPS ARE SWAMPED. IF WE NEED FOSTERS IN THE FUTURE WE WILL SEND OUT AN ALERT. (HAVANESE RESCUE NEED NOT APPLY.)
