The White Oak Aniaml Safe Haven is a small, volunteer ran, no-kill shelter that is located in White Oak, Pennsylvania. WOASH has been opening its doors to homeless cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens since March of 2000 and has found forever homes for more than 8,000 pets and counting. We run only on donations from the public and our fundraising events. Without these fellow animal lovers we wouldn't have been able to accomplish what we have done today.
Meet our featured dogs and cats of the White Oak Animal Safe Haven! These guys featured here are ones that have been here the longest, have special needs, or need a little extra TLC.
Our Featured Pets are Gunner and Princess!
Meet Gunner! He is a year and a half old Pit Bull mix who is looking for that special place to call home. He loves to play with toys and to give love to everyone he meets. This boy is full of life and would love to be with a family is active and keeps busy. He gets along great with people and only wants to cuddle after a nice walk. He should be the only pet in a house, he seems to be too much for smaller dogs and cats. If you're looking for a fun dog to call your own, Gunner is your boy.
Princess is an awesome and sweet DSH Orange and White cat that is looking for a forever home and a lap to sleep on. She loves to be petted and cuddled. Princess adores people and gets along well with the other cats. Altough she is 9 years YOUNG she has many more years ahead of her. If you're looking for a laid back cat that isn't as crazy as a little kitten Princess is the cat for you!

February 11 - Oldies Dance with the Laurels at the McKeesport Palisades, doors open at 7:00 pm, $20 each/$30 per couple.
March 10 - Pittsburgh Bureau of Police's Annual Biscuits Bingo, 12:00 pm-3:30 pm, St. Pius,3040 Pioneer Ave, Pgh. $20.00 donation. For more information call 412-488-8425 or 412-901-4771.
April 15 - Meow Wow Animal PJ Fashion Show, Youghiogheny Country Club, 12-4 $25.00 per person, Chinese Auctions & 50/50’s.

June 16 - Couples Golf Outing - Youghiogheny Country Club, 1:00 pm appetizers & cocktails. 3:00 pm shotgun Start (9 holes), dinner following at 6:00 pm.
July 15 - Pool Party, Youghiogheny Country Club, $25.00 per person, $2 per person sign-up for games (cornhole, beerpong & more) 5:00 pm - ? picnic food, 50/50 raffle.
August 11 - Annual Wag's & Wheels dog & car wash, Rainbow Fire Department parking lot (details to follow)

Donations and Volunteering
We are more than happy to have anyone with some free time to come and help with our dogs and cats anytime doing the week and weekends. Feel free to either call us, stop down to fill out a volunteer form at the shelter, or e-mail our Volunteer Coordinator Kathy at woashvolunteers@comcast.net today!
WOASH not only takes cash donations but we're also looking for things like food, treats, and cleaning products. Donations can either be brought down to the shelter or mailed to us at anytime.
Sponsoring a Shelter Animal
Don't have the time or space to adopt a new animal but still want to help one find a home? WOASH is offering you a chance to sponser an animal to help with any of their needs as long as their in our shelter and until the find a forever home. Call us today for more info.
The White Oak Animal Safe Haven offers low cost spaying and neutering of cats and kittens as well as routine vaccinations for your dogs and cats. We offer this on most Sundays but we ask you to call ahead for an appointments and prices.
