Who We Are
We are the vet clinic/shelter for the West Point Community. We are also the home of the Army mule mascots, currently Raider, Ranger II (AKA George) and General Scott (AKA Scotty)!
Adopting a new family member
Although we are only open to military for veterinary care, we do allow civilians to adopt pets from us.
You are welcome to come in any time during our regular business hours to meet our pets. We do not put animals "on hold". The adoption fees for cats is $35 and for dogs $30-$50, depending on size. If you are interested in a specific animal, call us for the adoption fee. The fee includes first round of shots, deworming and a microchip. We will also spay or neuter animals adopted from us. Cat/rabbit spay/neuter is $25, dog spay/neuter is $35.

Getting Here
If you are familiar with West Point, we are located behind the post office and craft / auto shop, next to Buffalo Soldier Pavilion.
From the North:
Take Route 9W South over Storm King Mountain. Take the third exit onto Rt. 218.
***Follow 218 through Highland Falls and follow signs for West Point. You will reach Thayer Gate, the main gate for West Point. You will go through a security check - please have photo ID ready. Once you go through the check, make a left onto Mills Road. Make a sharp left immediately after the post office, then make the first right (you will see a sign for the vet clinic). We are located upstairs.
From the West: Take Route 17 East to Exit 130 A (Bear Mountain). Follow up the mountain and bear left onto Route 293. Follow 293 to the end and get on Route 9W south. Take the second exit onto Rt. 218 and follow directions from the "***" above.
These directions are where the majority of our adopters come from. If you need directions, please feel free to call us! If you are using mapping software (MapQuest, etc.) the address to use is 630 Hodges Place, West Point, NY 10996.
