Smiley is a very special little girl. She is a shephard mix who loves people, and adores children. She is very gentle and affectionate. She is named Smiley because of her ability to show you her teeth when she greets you. We would love to find Smiley a home with a family who would appreciate her outstanding personality.

Who We Are
We are the Waverly Animal Shelter. We are employed by the City Of Waverly. We take in unwanted, lost, and abandoned animals from Humphreys County and try to find them homes. We work with the Humphreys County Humane Society, and the local vetrinarians, to get the medical care the animals need. We have numerous volunteers and donations to help make the animals stay at the shelter comfortable, and enjoyable. If you have a little time you could spare and would like to help, please stop by and pet a pup, or cuddle a kitty. Each of us can make a difference for one animal at a time.
Adopting a friend
ADOPTING A LIFE LONG FRIEND FROM A SHELTER OR A RESCUE WILL NOT ONLY GIVE YOU YEARS OF LOVE AND JOY IT WILL HELP FIND A HOME FOR A VERY DESERVING ANIMAL.
OUR ADOPTION FEES ARE:
Dogs and Puppies $65 ( $ 50 Goes toward spay or neutor)
Cats and Kittens $ 50 ( $ 40 Goes toward spay or neutor)
Fees include first shot and a dewormer.

From Interstate 40 take exit 143.Go North on Highway 13 approximately 14 miles.Turn left on Mathews Hollow Road, across from the hospital, go 1 block . Turn left on Young Road. Go 1 block and the shelter is on the right at 108 Young Road.
Our hours are : Monday and Friday 8 to 4:30 We do close for lunch from 12 to 1 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday : 8 to 1
We do adoptions on Saturday and Sunday by appointment only.
