Our Pet List

Help us save lives, Please have your pets spayed or neutered!

Please look at some of our wonderful animals ready to be adopted and given the wonderful home they deserve!

This is Pearl. She is an American Bull Dog mixed with a Boxer. You can see how cute she is! However, this sweet girl can hardly hear and her vision is limited. She needs a special family that will take time with her and be gentle and loving. She is very friendly. Can you save her life?

Isn't he so cute! And can you believe that we take in dozens of puppies just like this one each and everyday? There are more puppies just like this one at the shelter, just waiting for the right person to come and adopt them!

It might still be hot outside, but very soon, it will start to cool off and don't be caught in the cold without your favorite lap-warmer! Snapper, like all of the adult cats at the shelter, is looking for a comfy place to curl up and call home. And don't forget our many wonderful kittens that are ready for adoption too!

Meet Deagle! And isn't he a handsome black lab? Deagle has been at the shelter waiting on his perfect family, and still no one has come to get him! It is a fact that Black dogs are the last ones to be adopted at animal shelters. When you are looking for your perfect pet, consider the dogs like Deagle, and adopt a big black dog!

These are just a few of the loving animals at the Walter Crowe Animal Shelter. To see more, please follow the link at the top and bottom of this page. If you can't find exactly what you are looking for, come visit us and find your perfect pet(s)!

Items needed at the shelter

We need supplies at all times, from cleaning supplies to office equipment, and any items that can benefit the animals. We always need Laundry Detergent, Cat Litter, Wet Kitten Food, as well as Dry Dog Food. We are constantly running out of these items, and they are used on a daily basis to keep the animals clean and healthy. We also collect cans and old newspapers. Blankets and towels make great beds.... Anything you want to get rid of- we'll find a use for it! Thank you so much to everyone for your support.

Special plea to potential adopters

Please consider carefully the decision you are about to make when adopting. It is a large responsibility, and having a dog in your family should be a family decision, and a family responsibility. We ask that you understand the heartache it causes when animals are brought back after adoption, and the trauma that an animal goes through as well. Thank you.

With Puppies and Kittens please consider...

Here at the shelter, we get many puppies and kittens each week. If you do not see the perfect puppy or kitten on our website, it doesn't mean that he/she is not here waiting for you. We aren't able to take pictures of all of the babies because of our increased drop-offs. Please consider coming down to the shelter to visit with all of the puppies and kittens, if a young pet is what you are interested in. We have a great play yard that the puppies like to show off in, and a great kitten room were they can test out your lap!
