Need a buddy? This handsome guy is housetrained, leash trained and a great companion. He loves to garden, chill out under the desk or watch TV. Rides well in the car and sleeps happily in his crate. Approx 3 years old currently being fostered in a multi dog home Dennis is sociable. He loves company and would love a family of his own. Dennis is UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped. Who We Are
Twyla's Friends is a 501(3)(c) charity organization. Our mission is to help abandoned and rescued dogs in our community through veterinary assistance and help with placement in permanent homes. Twyla's Friends is a volunteer organization with no shelter or kennel facilities. All donations are used to help pay veterinary expenses for dogs in immediate need and to fund Twyla's Friends PAL (Prevent-A-Litter) program where dog owners needing financial assistance can have their dogs spayed or neutered for $30. If you have lost or found a dog please email Twyla's Friends at tereje@aol.com with a complete description (include a picture if possible) and put signs up in the area you found the dog. Contact local vets and odther rescue groups with this information as well. If you have found a stray dog and the owner cannot be located and you can foster the dog, we can help you with the dog's medical expenses and provide you with fostering guidance. Please email us at twylasfriends@yahoo.com if you can foster the dog. If you cannot foster the dog, we cannot help you at this time and suggest you contact other local rescues or take the dog to one of the many Houston area based shelters.
Adopting a friend
Adoption donations vary depending on the dog's medical bills but start at $130. Each dog is medically treated treated by a veterinarian, altered, fully vaccinated and health checked before adoption. Temperament and whether the dog is advisable with toddlers, is good with other dogs and cats, is house trained and crate trained can be confirmed with the contact person noted in the biography.
****** We are happy to meet and show dogs to screened prospective adopters at mutually convenient times.******
