Our Mission

To encourage the use of Trap-Neuter-Return to stop the breeding cycle of free-roaming cats and improve their quality of life.

About Tuscon Feral Coalition

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. We are a small group of volunteers in Pima County, AZ that use and advocate the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) technique to humanely and effectively manage free-roaming, community cats. TNR stops the breeding cycle of community cats and reduces fighting and spraying. We care about community cats and advocate for a no-kill solution to overpopulation. Some of the cats we are fostering have an ear-tip because they have come to us through community trap-neuter-return efforts. Because we are not a shelter, we are unable to sponsor veterinary care or accept animals from the public.

Community Outreach

***Please note, we are happy to loan traps with a refundable deposit. Traps are strictly for TNR use.***

We teach YOU to conduct TNR and manage the community cats in YOUR neighborhood! Again, we are not a shelter. We mentor you so that you can humanely and effectively care for the cats in your neighborhood and work place. We are available to offer lots of advice and knowledge on providing shelter, feeding, basic medical care and free/low-cost spay/neuter so that you can manage the free-roaming cats in your area.

Trap-Neuter-Return, or TNR, stops the breeding cycle of community cats and allows a means to provide shelter, food, and basic medical care with minimal intervention. Strays living in feral colonies are easily identified as such once trapped and observed. Strays can then be adopted out to caring homes. Feral kittens trapped early enough can be socialized and also adopted out to caring homes.
