We would very much like to place some of our harder to place cats. These cats are not special needs in the true sense of the word, but rather cats who are either people shy or other cat shy. They may be easily picked on or they may just be very shy and need a very patient loving person to give them a chance.
Donations are tax deductable.
We are a small rescue and receive no funding from county, state etc.
We rely solely on adoption fees and donations to offset the cost of rescue and the medical care of the cats in our custody.
We regret that at this time, we can no longer accept domestic short hair cats.
We are a 501(c)(3) charity.
Tropical Feline Rescue is dedicated to the rescue of pure bred cats and their wannabe cousins at risk of euthanasia throughout Florida.
We do not take in strays.
About What We Do
Our goal is to rescue and re-home Oriental Shorthair, Siamese, and similar breeds in need. We do not have a shelter, therefore our kitties reside in clean, caring foster homes (with real families) and receive a lot of love, attention, medical care, and of course good food.
ADOPTION POLICIES & REQUIREMENTS
Applicants who wish to be considered as possible adopters of our rescue cats must have outstanding veterinary references! ALL pets in the home MUST be current on vaccines, altered and cats must be FIV/FeLV neg. We will ONLY consider homes where cats are strictly indoors.
** WISH LIST** Dry Food, Purina ONE, canned food (Friskies only), paper towels, Litter (clumping), sheets, used, not abused upholstered furniture, loving homes.
Please help us be the voice for the voiceless who suffer and die at the hands of humans every day, hour, minute. Before you go to sleep at night keep in mind that some where out there animals are being tortured, neglected, killed for no other reason than that they exist.
