Cis for Charm—and you guessed it—she's charming! A delightful dish of a girlie Rott with legs that won’t quit, who keeps her waif-like figure toned by rigorous cross-training: jogging, prancing, jumping, retrieving, flyball, tug of war and water dancing. Contact THORR if you'd like to meet Charm, before someone else comes along and sweeps her off her feet! |

As a new rescue, we welcome people who are interested in learning more about our wonderful breed. Volunteers and fosters are always needed!
True Hearts of Rottweiler Rescue (THORR) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that cares deeply about Rottweilers and is devoted to (1) placing orphaned and displaced Rottweilers in responsible, loving homes, and (2) educating the public about the Rottweiler breed.
Our rescued Rottweilers come from many backgrounds…animal control facilities, shelters, strays found wandering the streets, and owner surrenders.
Once in our rescue program, our Rottweilers receive veterinary care, which includes vaccinations, neutering, heartworm testing and preventative, and any other needed medical procedures prior to adoption.
When ready for adoption, our goal is to find a home that will best suit the needs of each particular dog, taking into consideration the family, home, children, and pets they will be living with.
We normally have adult Rottweilers of various ages available for adoption. On rare occasions, we have dogs under 1 year old.
If you would like to open your heart and home to a wonderful Rottweiler who needs you, please email us to request an application: trueheartsrottrescue@yahoo.com
The process is simple but thorough. First, THORR provides a detailed application for you to fill out. This tells us about your daily routine, your family, and the environment you would provide a Rottweiler. Once your application is received, one of our volunteers will visit your home to review your application with you and answer any additional questions. Upon approval, our volunteers then begin looking for the best match for you.
Upon approval of your application, and after a home visit, our volunteers begin to assess which of our Rottweilers is right for you. Finding the best match may take a few days or several weeks, depending on the number of dogs in rescue, your location in relation to where the “right” dog is, and what type of Rottweiler you are looking for (certain age, good with cats, etc.).
There is an adoption donation for each Rottweiler adopted. The adoption donation for Rottweilers ages 1 through 5 is $200; Rottweilers over 5 years of age is $150. Because we are a non-profit organization, this is how we pay for all necessary veterinary and medical expenses for each Rottweiler we rescue.
