Welcome
Thank you for visiting our homepage. Please know that our shelter is run by all Volunteers (and few of them) and our daily tasks are very time consuming. We kindly ask that anyone visiting our facility be "serious" about adopting and we will gladly devote time to assisting you. We truly thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Who We Are
The PURRfect KITTY is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit, No-Kill Shelter &
Adoption Center for Felines. Our mission is to provide a healthy,
loving environment for felines until they find their furrever home.
The PURRfect KITTY receives no federal, state or local government funds to operate and we have no major sponsors/donors. The generosity from people like you is essential for our success and survival. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation please mail it to our address listed below or you can make a secure credit-card donation by clicking here: YES, I want to donate!
Please consider becoming a "recurring donor" for just $10 per month.
There's no hassle, no paperwork!
Just click on the box that says "Make this a recurring donation" and it's done! It's that quick & simple
yet it means so much towards helping our kitties. Please click here:
YES, I want to be a recurring donor!
You can also send us a gift certificate from PETCO so we can buy supplies for our kitties.
Thank you for your generosity !!!
Photos
We try to keep pictures of our available kitties updated all the time
but sometimes we have new kitties that haven't had their photo taken yet. If you are interested in certain kitty, please call or e-mail us to see if they are still available. The photos below were updated on 3-7-10. SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR SOME PHOTOS!
A Little Info. About Our Kitties
We give our kitties lots of TLC and we strive to have loving, affectionate, socialized kitties in our facility. Although we'd like to see all of our kitties get a home, we want to make sure the situation is right for the kitty and for you! We'll always give you the full scoop on our kitties and let you know whether a kitty is suitable for you & your home.
Adoption Information (Requirements)
Once you find your purrfect kitty or kitties, we have an application to be completed & approved
and a contract to be signed. You must bring a valid driver's license and a current utility bill.
In most circumstances an application is approved immediately & you would be able to take the kitty home the same day, so we suggest bringing a carrier or we may have a carrier for a small fee. Some applications can take 24-48hrs. to process.
Remember, we have a "2 for 1" special... there is only one adoption donation required to adopt two kitties.
You must be at least 23 yrs. old to adopt. We kindly ask that anyone visiting our facility be accompanied by someone at least 23 yrs. or older. The person(s) adopting must be present at the time of the adoption process and when taking the kitty home. We do not permit 3rd Party adoptions.
We truly thank you for your cooperation.
SENIOR ADOPTION POLICY: We permit adoptions for Senior Citizens. Please inquire for more information.
Adoption Donation
We wish we could adopt out our kitties at no cost to you, but our non-profit facility
wouldn't be able to survive without donations. Here are the adoption donation amounts:
Cats under 6 yrs. > $90
Cats over 6 yrs. > $75
Cats over 10 yrs. > no donation required

Crucial Information
Reasons why NOT to ABANDON kitties at our facility:
ABANDONED kitties NEVER enter our facility.... NO EXCEPTIONS!!
~ We are a Non-Profit facility run by all volunteers and we have minimal funding to operate. Animals abandoned at our door would FINANCIALLY CRIPPLE us. All of our kitties have been Vet. checked prior to entering the shelter. We cannot afford to take abandoned kitties to the Vet. and we cannot take in a kitty that is not Vet. checked because it is a health risk to our kitties.
~ We DO NOT have the space for unexpected animals. Although our cages may be large, we cannot have several kitties sharing a litter-box, otherwise it becomes a health risk. It may appear that we have room, but we actually DON’T.
~ Due to the above factors, any animals abandoned at our facility will be put directly into a vehicle and immediately brought to the municipal shelter. They will NEVER enter our facility !!! No Exceptions!!
~ We DO NOT maintain regular business hours like a Veterinarian Office or Animal Hospital. Abandoned animals will remain unnoticed for a LONG period of time and will ultimately be brought to the municipal shelter. Please don't be cruel....don't abandon an animal.
~ It is AGAINST THE LAW to abandon an animal. Violators will be punishable by fine or imprisonment.
