If you would like to adopt one of our dogs, you must come to the pound during our business hours. There is a $30 adoption fee, which includes a current year's dog license.
We are a County-run facility, not a shelter. Unfortuantely this means we are required to euthanize dogs. Generally, we try to hold the dogs as long as possible. However, by state law, we are only required to hold stray dogs 3 days before we are forced to euthanize them when we are full.
Our staff and volunteers work very hard to keep our pound clean and sanitary. However, due to the fact that we can not afford health care, we do not guarantee the health of our dogs. We suggest you make an appointment with your veterinarian before you pick up your dog.
Cash is always welcome! Although we are run by the county, our funding does not cover any vet care for our dogs. Toys and other dog items are also greatly appreciated!
We can also use storage bins to house our blankets and sheets until they are needed.
