Since February 2006, PAWS has provided funding to spay/neuter over 5000 dogs and cats. Together we can make a difference in the number of abandoned dogs and cats that are euthanized every day in local shelters simply because there are not enough homes for these animals. The only solution to this problem is to spay and neuter your pets!!
Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. - and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will NEVER be enough homes for all the animals. As a result, millions of healthy, loving cats, dogs, kittens and puppies face early deaths as a form of population control. Others are left to fend for themselves against automobiles, the elements, other animals and cruel humans. What can you do to stop the suffering? SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!!
P.A.W.S. is committed to helping end animal over-population and the needless killing of unwanted animals by promoting an aggressive spay/neuter program for dogs and cats. Please help us in these efforts by doing the same with your pets.
Who We Are
P.A.W.S. (Protecting Animals With Sterilization) is a nonprofit 501C3 spay and neuter organization with no boundaries. Our mission is to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats by aggressively promoting and financially assisting with reduced-cost spay and neuter surgeries to anyone that has an unaltered dog or cat.
We do NOT receive federal or state funding and therefore rely on donations and fundraising to achieve our goals. We sell Krispy Kreme Donuts every Friday (weather permitting) in the Bluefield Walmart Shopping Center near Verizon. We recycle cellular phones, ink cartridges, and aluminum cans as part of our fundraising. We also collect Purina dog and cat weight circles. We have a flea market store located at 1119 East Fincastle Drive in the Dial Rock area of Tazewell (Previous blue NAPA Auto Parts Building near the Pop Shop, McCann Rentals & Country Consignment. Take exit 5 or exit 3 off Rt. 460). We are always in need of donated items to resell to raise funds.
PAWS does NOT have a rescue facility and we are in need of foster homes.
WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF PURINA WEIGHT CIRCLES AND EMPTY PRINTER INK CARTRIDGES!!! Donations can be dropped off at our Friday Krispy Kreme Doughnut sale in the Bluefield Walmart shopping center parking lot (near Verizon) or at our PAWS flea market building in Tazewell.
