Our Adoptable Pet List

Just the Dogs       Just the Cats

Who Are We?

The Society of Humane Friends of GA., Inc. (SOHF) is a Lawrenceville, GA based animal rescue group dedicated to caring for abandoned and at-risk dogs and cats. The animals are fostered in our memberís homes, are tested and fully vetted before being offered for adoption. Potential adopters are carefully screened to ensure a good match of people and pets.

SOHF was incorporated in 1998 and has 501 ( c ) 3 status. We are entirely supported by contributions of time from our volunteers and donations from caring individuals. If you would like to contribute to SOHF, please visit our Home Page.

Spay and Neutering Clinic

Unwanted dogs and cats are killed every day in our animal shelters because owners do not spay/neuter their pets. There are not enough good homes for the unwanted litters of puppies and kittens and the abandoned dogs and cats that are brought to the animal control shelters. SOHF hosts a spay/neuter clinic at Gwinnett Animal Control every Wednesday for shelter animals. Our goal is see that all animals are spay/neutered before they leave the shelter.

We have just opened a Spay/Neuter Clinic for the public. We will have the information on our web site shortly. In the meantime if you are interested in information and/or making an appointment with our Spay/Neuter Clinic, please call (770) 962-4301and leave your name and phone number. A volunteer will call you back
