We can now accept online donations! Visit http://www.crowdrise.com/snuggles to make a donation today!
We have started a new fund called "Toby's and Leah's Healing Hearts Fund." This fund will assist pet owners that have financial difficulty and enable them to have important procedures done that their animals may need. We would assist by funding up to 50% of the total cost of the procedure. We want to see their pets stay healthy, rather than suffer or be euthanized. Funding will be made available to clients at Greenfield Veterinary Hospital and Companion Vet Services in Murrysville. If you would like your donation to go to this fund, please specify it on your check or online donation. Thank you!
UPCOMING EVENTS!
ADOPTATHON!!!! Saturday, May 5th from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm at PetSmart in Monroeville. Come by and meet your new best friend!!!
Note to adopters: Lassie and Cleo and Rin Tin Tin and Toto don't show up in rescue. We don't get the elegantly coiffed, classically beautiful, completely trained, perfectly behaved dog. We get the leftovers. Dogs that other people have incompetently bred, inadequately socialized, ineffectively "trained," and badly treated.
Most Rescue dogs have had it. They've been pushed from one lousy situation to another. They've never had proper veterinary care, kind and consistent training, or sufficient company. They've lived outside, in a crate, or in the basement. They're scared, depressed and anxious. Some are angry. Some are sick. Some have given up.
But we are Rescue and we don't give up. We never give up on a dog. We know that a dog is a living being, with a spirit and a heart and feelings. Our dogs are not commodities, things, or garbage. They are part of sacred creation and they deserve as much love and care and respect as the next Westminster champion.
So please, please don't come to rescue in the hopes of getting a "bargain," or indeed of "getting" anything. Come to Rescue to give, to love, to save a life — and to mend your own spirit. For Rescue will reward you in ways you never thought possible. I can promise you this — a rescue dog will make you a better person.

A THOUGHT
THE ONLY ANIMAL WITHOUT A CHANCE IS THE ANIMAL WHOSE CHANCE IS TAKEN AWAY.
"Old dogs, like old shoes, are comfortable. They might be a bit out of shape and a little worn around the edges, but they fit well." - Bonnie Wilcox 'Old Dogs, Old Friends'
WHO WE ARE
A Little Bit of Snuggles Dog Rescue is a NO-KILL, 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization that rescues homeless dogs. The dogs are kept in a home environment and receive all necessary veterinary care. Each dog gets to interact with people as well as other dogs throughout the day. The goal is to assure a loving and permanent home for each of our dogs.
95% of our dogs come from shelters that are full to capacity and need our assistance, many of which are not no-kill. Under some circumstances, we do take owner surrenders, but only on a case by case basis.
ADOPTING A FRIEND
In order to adopt you must be 18 years or older and have identification with your current address.
All of our dogs are current on vaccinations which include:
- Distemper
- Adenovirus 2
- Parainfluenza
- Parvovirus
- Coronavirus
- Leptospirosis
- Rabies
In addition to being vaccinated, our dogs are spayed/neutered and are on Frontline (flea and tick prevention) and Heartguard (heartworm prevention).
VISITING US!
Since we are based out of my home, please call to make an appointment if you are interested in adopting. Thank you!
