View Our Pet List Husky Breed Profile How Could You?

Our Featured Pet: Dreamy!
We have many dogs that are available for adoption if you are interested in any of our available dogs please email info@snowdogrescue for information and an application. Huskies make great family pals, and love the companionship of other canines medium to xlarge size. They are a pack animal and consider there humans part of their pack. Because of this they truly enjoy being with there humans and canine friends. They are a fun, happy and active breed that promises to make you laugh and keep you smiling. As with any canines they need love and attention to be happy. This breed was born to run, and can be an escape artist easily scaling 6ft fences or finding the one weak spot in your yard. The Siberian Husky can NEVER be trusted off leash or in an ungated area for this reason. Many Huskies are hit by cars, stolen for their beauty, or lost and never returned. Please keep your Siberian Husky leashed and safe, and add needed locks to gates. They’re counting on you! Please read up on the breed to educate yourself, or contact rescue for advice on your new canine friend you are planning on adopting. Rescue volunteers will always be there to help you! Please note when adopting a Husky from the shelter – this breed is not cat friendly. If you have a cat please make sure it IS cat friendly.

Who We Are

Snow Dog Rescue is a general name used to acknowledge a couple of Southern California's great Nordic Breed Rescuers, and their fosters. The majority are members of the Siberian Husky Rescue and Referral, which is a non profit organization created for the welfare of Siberian Huskies. All our dogs in rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, properly socialized, with great temperament, and we promise to stand by our rescues for the rest of their lives. Occasionally you will see an owner give-up posted, in which you will need to decipher for yourself if this is the right dog for you and your family. All dogs will be shown with their appropriate contacts, and current rescue location. We thank you for visiting our dogs, and hope you fall in love with them as we have.

Adopting a Friend

If you are interested in adopting any of our dogs posted, please contact the email or phone number stated in the bio for that particular dog. Depending on the rescue the dog is in, they will need you to fill out an online application, converse by phone, and possibly a home check. If sparks fly between you and your new furry pal, most likely you will also be given an adoption contract before the dog is taken home. Adoption contracts are used for the soul interest of your new best pal.
