Who We Are
We are a small shelter located in the rural area of Springfield, Vermont. Our critter friends stay here where we love them, feed them, exercise them, play with them and do our best to spoil them until they find their Forever Home. We do not euthanize any animals unless they are very sick and we cannot help them, or if they are aggressive toward people.
We have a multitude of FABULOUS dogs and GREAT cats.
There is a scenic trail around our 7 acre hay field where you can take the dogs for a walk, and a large community room where you can introduce yourself to the many extraordinary cats.
We are well worth the trip and easy to find. Come on over and visit us.
Adopting a Friend
An adoption application will require the following:
Three personal references ( no family members ); a letter of approval with phone number from your landlord; and the name/phone number of your current veterinarian. All of these are required to process your adoption request.
Adoption applications are customarily filled out after you meet the dog or cat of your interest. We always have many animals here to meet you.

Nearly all of our animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. On rare occasions, an animal has not been spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. In that case, we will require a $20 spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We will provide you with a spay/neuter certificate and we will pay for the procedure. Upon notification from your vet that the surgery has been completed, we will refund your deposit. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies (if over 3 months old), distemper vaccine treatment for fleas, ticks, and ear mites, a new collar and id tag for dogs, and Feleuk/FIV test for all cats and kittens.
