Shepherds Hope IS NOT A SHELTER, NOR DO WE HAVE OUR OWN FACILITY. All rescue dogs are boarded at private kennels or dog-sitters, kept in our own homes when possible, until they are placed with their new families.  We are committed to each and every animal to resolve any health or behavioral issues prior to adoption. All dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and heartworm tested. 

German Shepherd Dogs are not for everyone, and as long-time, multiple Shepherd owners ourselves, we are familiar with the type of home/family best suited for this breed. Also taken into consideration are the dog's needs and temperament so that both dog and family are happy with the placement. Our application and home visit process ensures we are placing these dogs in the homes best suited to them. Our goal is save as many as possible and unite them with loving and caring owners so that they will never suffer or know sadness and loneliness again.
