DONATIONS NEEDED
Many pets are euthanized in shelters every day because they are considered "unadoptable" due to the extensive care they will require. By giving them the care they need and rehoming them with families who will continue to give them the love and attention they so deserve, SCRAPS plays an important role in letting these pets have a second chance at life.
SCRAPS survives solely from donations and without them, we cannot continue to save these pets. Your donations, which are tax deductible, are very much appreciated.

Who We Are
We are a small group of foster homes which takes in small dogs from kill shelters and private surrenders. We evaluate the dogs in our homes so that we have a good idea of each dog's personality and quirks. We do not have a shelter and have just recently become a non-profit corporation, so our space and finances are limited. However, no small dog is too old, too cranky, or has too many problems for us to try to help.
Adopting a Friend
If you are interested in adopting a pet from us, please visit our website and click on the adoption application button. You must be willing to agree to a home check and have veterinary and/or personal references. You must also live in New Jersey.
When meeting your prospective pet for the first time, we ask that all members of the household be present. Adoptions are based on a first come first served basis provided that all of our members agree that you will provide the most suitable home environment for the pet, and that you have met all of the necessary qualifications in order to do so.
We reserve the right to deny any application without giving reason and do not accept responsibility for the inconveniences caused. We spend ALL of our spare time and money caring for our rescues and will only adopt to homes which, we feel, would be perfect.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT PETS WHICH WILL BE GIVEN AS "SURPRISE" GIFTS.
The required donation for each pet starts at $150.00 and is determined by the age and desirability of the pet. All donations go towards keeping our rescue running, the health, nutrition, and well being of our rescued pets, and to the many vet bills incurred in doing so.
