We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization that serves Stephens County and it's surrounding communities. We work closely with Duncan Animal Control in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. Our focus is to educate the public in and around our county, to the importance of spaying and neutering their animals. This will help to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens, and can help put an end to the overpopulation problem. If everyone will do their part, we may someday reach our goal of no more homeless pets in our communities.
Adopting a friend
We have 5 area veterinarians who assist us with low cost spay and neutering for animals that pass through our shelter. Our adoption fees include the cost of either spaying or neutering the pet, Heartworm testing for dogs, and Feline Leukemia testing for cats, a rabies vaccination as required by state law, and current on yearly boosters. Our adoption fee for dogs is $100.00. The adoption fee for cats is $75.00. When you compare the costs of most spay/neuter operations, that is a great deal, plus you are saving a life and preventing future litters that many times wind up back in our shelter.
Kuranda Beds
Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for
everyone.
If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for another
dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed.

Come Visit Us!
Our shelter is located on the south side of Duncan, Oklahoma. Take US Hwy 81 south through town. As you near the south end of Duncan you will see the only overpass that crosses over Hwy 81. Immediately after passing under the overpass take the first left turn lane. This is Park Street, although there is no street sign. It runs right next to the Bowling Alley. Take Park to the first stop sign which is 13th street and turn right. You will see a Halliburton shop yard along the right side. Just as you approach the Halliburton sign you will be nearing ML King Jr Ave which is on the left. There is a 2 story orange brick building on that corner. Turn left there and go 5 street signs. We are just before the railroad tracks on the south side of the road. You will see the Duncan Power and Light office on your right and the gate into our facility is the very next drive. You will see a double chain link gate with green signs on it. The shelter sits back from the road.
