Everyone associated with Save Our Strays volunteers their time and effort (no corporate salaries). 100% of the donation reaches its intended cause. Residual monies are usually used to cover past due or outstanding vet bills. Food and other items are dispersed throughout the year assisting dog owners with limited incomes and resources i.e. elderly, unemployed, homeless, and other small, independent rescues.
Adopting A Friend
Complete a pre-adoption application on our website: www.SaveOurStraysVT.org. Click on the "adoption info" button and there will be a link to complete the pre-adoption application on-line. We will schedule an appointment to meet the pet(s) only after the pre-adoption application is completed & received.
Due to the large amount of inquiries & the expense involved all our communications are done by e-mail. We DO NOT make long distance phone calls. If you would like more information about a pet, kindly e-mail us your questions & we will do our best to answer them.
Who We Are
Save Our Strays is an ALL volunteer non profit. We have been rescuing animals since 1995. The pets on our website are in Vermont and looking for a home. We do our best to ensure the information listed is current.

Come Visit Us
Save Our Strays shows pets by appointment only. We will schedule an appointment to meet the pet(s) only after the pre-adoption application is completed & received. We are volunteers and do not accept "drop-in visitors." Please do not "show up" and expect to be introduced to the pets - you will be sent home. Thanks for understanding.
