S.A.F.E. Society of Florida, Inc SAFE began in 2001 with a few volunteer working together to save animals at risk of euthanasia. We are now a dedicated small group still helping pets in need. 

SAFE is a 501c3 non profit group that runs solely on donations and fundraising to pay for the medical needs of the animals in rescue, as well as the care for them. Our main focus is to find the right forever home for the animals in rescue. In doing so all prospective adoptive homes are required to have an application, home visit and/or interview, and reference checks. 

In order to adopt from SAFE your pets MUST be spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and you must have a local veterinarian that your pets have been seen at. If you do not meet these requirements then you will not be approved to adopt from SAFE. 

If you would like to help SAFE and can not adopt we have different programs that you can become involved in such as, Have A Heart, Remembrance fund, sponsoring a pet in need, becoming a foster parent, or volunteering at events. We are also in need of volunteers to walk and socialize the animals that are currently in rescue. For more information please contact us

WHEN ADOPTING A PET FROM SAFE, THE FEE INCLUDES:

• FIRST SET OF SHOTS FOR PUPPIES, OR YEARLY SHOT FOR ADULTS
  
  
• DE-WORMING FOR PARASITES (more then one may need to be done after adoption)
  
  
• HEARTWORM TESTING, AND PREVENTION (if the dog is old enough)
  
  
• FLEA PREVENTION (if the dog is old enough)
  
  
• SPAY OR NEUTER
  
  
• RABIES VACCINE
  
  
• ANY OTHER MEDICAL NEEDS THE PET MIGHT HAVE
  
  
• TRAINING AND EVALUATION OF EACH PET
  
  
• GROOMING BEFORE ADOPTION
