Safe Haven Animal Rescue was established in early 2004 as a mainly dog and cat rescue. Over the years we took many other species and particulary fell in love with ferrets. At the end of 2008 we merged with the Central Oklahoma Humane Society for our dog and cat adoption program but missed being able to take in ferrets and other pocket pets. So we are back as a ferret rescue so we can continue to effectively rescue and rehome ferrets in need!!
Safe Haven Animal Rescue for Ferrets is a non-profit 501c3 charitable rescue organization dedicated to finding forever homes for ferrets in need. We pull from local shelters as needed and also accept ferrets from the public. (We also periodically have pocket pets and birds who need homes.) All ferrets are kept in foster homes so they can receive optimal care, proper attention and socialization. This also enables us to find out if they do well with other ferrets, cats, dogs, etc.

How You Can Help
Any monetary donations you are able to make are completely tax deductable. Every dollar counts so if you have a few seconds to click the button below and donateeven one dollar we would be so appreciative! We can also use donated cages, ferret food, litter, food dishes, litter boxes, etc. Again, all donations are tax-deductable. Thank you for you support!
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting one of our ferrets please email us for an application. Adoption fees for ferrets vary but do not exceed $100 per ferret. We always provide discounts when adopting out pairs. All ferrets are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated (Distemper and Rabies), current on flea/tick prevention, heartworm preventative and provided with any necessary medical care they may require.
Also, if you see that we don't have that certain ferret that you are looking for please feel free to email us for an application so we can keep it on hand. When we get a ferret that sounds perfect for you we will be able to contact you as soon as he/she is ready for adoption.
